AFFORDABLE SOY-FREE TOFU (b/c what’s with grocery prices rn?!) #WillItTofu
Hello friends! This episode of Will It Tofu uses a highly requested ingredient that’s CHEAP and ACCESSIBLE. At about 2 bucks a pound and readily available at mainstream grocery stores, split yellow peas might just become your next favourite “tofu“ ingredient. Look in your pantry! I’ll answer all these questions and more!
As in all the tofu-making videos in this series, our aim is to create a close alternative to the traditional soy-based tofu. It’s low carb and high protein and made with the traditional tofu-making method. That is, with pressing coagulated high protein curds as opposed to the high carb, lower protein, polenta-like tofu like Burmese Tofu).
