Proxyon - Space Hopper (Digimax Cover 2023)

Proxyon - Space Hooper Cover Mix 2023 Space Hopper is one of my favorite Spacesyth tracks of all time and for the longest time I’ve been wanting to do a cover version. I tried to recreate the sounds exactly as in the track but sadly I had difficulty achieving that. So for some of the melodies I ended up using different sounds plus I thought it would be great to throw a Laserdance style vocoder somewhere in the mix. For the vocals I ended up sampling from the original track. The kick is also from the original but I added a bit more processing to it, so it might sound a bit different. While I don’t usually make covers, I had a great time recreating this track. I know the original ends with a fade out, so I decided to give this one a proper ending. I probably could have done something more creative with it as opposed to just making an almost exact recreation, but this was kind of an exercise in sound design for me.
