Excellent debut album by this solo project of Lord Vlargethezreb, also member of Reliquary Ash. An excellent follow up, and in my opinion a big step in the evolution of its sound since the debut demo, “Dark Awakening“, Nocturnal Thirst returns in full force, harnessing the vile hatred and dark malignity conjured in the 90s by central european hordes. With clear influences from synth-heavy old school Black Metal like Emperor, Epheles and particularly the polish underground with bands like early Gontyna Kry, Veles, Necrostrigis and Ravenmoon Sanctuary, Nocturnal Thirsts dedicates its wrath towards the eternal, cold nights of the Ontario forests and the hypnotic gaze of the fullmoon. An excellent release of true ancient powers, released on tape and digital via Deathful Lust Productions.
