Etched from the Mind

Please support our videos According to neurologist and artist Greg Dunn ( ) , the reality of how our neurons are organized and transmit information into thoughts, emotions and reactions is mind-boggling complex. But by combining his love of 19th century Japanese landscape paintings with his formal education as neuroscientist, Dunn has managed to create realistic and awe-invoking depictions of neurons at work. To facilitate his art, Dunn spending years developing his own novel microscopic gold-leaf etching techniques. The result is multi-panelled micro-etchings of brains and neurons which seem to animate with electric life as the viewer moves around them.
