Africa faces spike in terrorist attacks amid US counter-terrorism ops

Nine local traders in Nigeria have been killed in a suspected terrorist attack while they were returning from a market. The incident occurred as the Africa Center for Strategic Studies recently revealed that deaths from terrorism on the continent have increased by more than 100,000% in just over two decades. The huge spike is being partly blamed as a consequence of the West’s so-called War on Terror, especially in Somalia and the West African Sahel region. RT’s Noluvuyo Kunge has more details.
