Tanith Belbin and Ben Agosto and figure skating Original Dance Vancouver

This is the Tanith Belbin and Benjamin Agosto gorgeous original dance performance during the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. This dance is called Moldavian, though it would be more correct to call it Romanian and Moldavian, because it’s a very typical Romanian dance, and Moldavians are just as Romanians as people living in Texas are Americans . When I saw first their performance in China I felt very proud for them and for my Romanian background. Tanith and Benjamin as well as their Russian couches felt the beauty of the costumes, music and dance and did their best to share it with the audience. I was disappointed with the scores they got at Vancouver, they definitely deserved more, for me they were the best and I feel very proud and grateful for the love they showed for this dance. You definitely deserve some golden medals from Romanian ministry of Culture or from the Romanian Cultural Institute for spreading Romanian traditional culture abroad. O nota pentru fratii care sunt romani ca si noi dar, dar locuiesc in Romania. E suparator ca dansul a fost numit moldovenesc, ne fiind doar specific pentru zona moldoveneasca, dar aceasta nu trebuie vazut ca o intentie rea. Antrenora provine din fosta URSS iar in Uniunea Sovietica din fericire nu a existat asa o republica ca Republica Sovietica Socialista Romaneasca, daca ar fi existat atunci dansul cu siguranta s-ar fi numit Romanian folk dance. In URSS printre oamenii de cultura exista o admiratie sanatoasa pentru dansurile, cantecele si traditiile romanesti pe care cu mandrie le pastrau si propagau fratii nostri din Republica Moldova. De aici si asocierea acestor dansuri ca fiind moldovenesti. Era nevoie de o specializare in studii romanesti ca sa intelegi ca aceea ce se considera moldovenesc este de fapt romanesc. Am vazut destul de multe postari legate de aceste video si din comentariile celor din Romania se creaza impresia ca le este rusine ca ceva tipic romanesc sa fie numit si moldovenesc. Antrenorii rusi prin alegerea si realizarea acestor dansuri ne-au facut noua tuturor o cinste indifirent daca locuim in Romania sau pretutindeni. Iar la succesul de care s-au bucurat Benjamin si Tanith cu acest dans a contribuit mult si frumusetea melodiei si a dansului popular romanesc. Ar fi mai bine daca in comentariile pe care le postati le-ati multimi mai mult celor care cu curaj si drag au realizat acest dans si mai putin v-ati certa cine e moldovean si cine nu e.
