Siachen Glacier - The World’s Highest Battlefield
The Siachen War took place between India and Pakistan over the disputed Siachen Glacier region in Kashmir. At 19,000 ft, it has sometimes been called the world’s highest battlefield . The conflict was started in 1984 by India’s successful capture of the glacier. It lasted until 2003, when a ceasefire was agreed upon.
