Aikido technique SUWARI KOKYU HO (kokyu dosa), by Stefan Stenudd

SUWARI KOKYUHO (also called KOKYU DOSA) is a basic exercise in aikido. Tori (the one doing the technique) strives to be unstoppable, and uke (the one being thrown) strives to be immovable. Thus, they help each other improve. On this video, I show different versions of suwari kokyuho. Suwari means seated and kokyu ho means breathing method. Kokyu dosa says just about the same thing, dosa meaning movement. So, breath movement – moving with the power of one’s breath. Uke was Stephan Schröder ().
