Alpacka Alpackalypse - Packrafting the Grand Canyon

In 2014 Jen and I were lucky enough to join Forrest McCarthy and a highly experienced packafting crew on a 21-day descent of the Colorado River through the Grand Canyon. It was a raft supported trip however about 8-10 of us spent the vast majority of our time in packrafts with all rapids being paddled by packrafts. I was also very fortunate in that I got to demo Alpacka’s whitewater specific packraft - the Alpackalypse. Fun times! Other paddlers in an Alpackalypse are Mike Curiak and Mike Fiebig.
