People told me Islam is banned in China... (visiting a MUSLIM TOWN in China) 🇨🇳

Islam came to Xi’An, China from the Muslim traders who did business along the silk road thousand of years ago. Their descendants are called the Hui people. And today, there is a big Hui Muslim community in Xi’An. We went to Muslim Street in Xi’an, China, lined with delicious Halal street food. We also visited one of the oldest Mosque in China, the Xi’An Grand Mosque. How are the Muslims treated in China? Are the Chinese Muslims happy? Are the Chinese Muslims allowed to practice their religion freely? Is Islam banned in China? Is religion banned in China? What we saw was different than the stories we heard on western media.
