She had the brilliant idea of having her students perform for each other while blindfolded. Students would have to guess who was singing. A cool exercise to focus on vocal sound and, as the class is aptly titled “Vocal Identity.” Well Gemma asked if I would walk in while the class was blindfolded so that I could sing to them. It was a fun surprise. I was accompanied by Nick Petrillo of course. These were the sweetest, most talented students. Comment if you were there!
