Hand-raised Canadian Lynx

We are a family of trappers, but many who hunt and trap understand the love and fascination of the animal as well. We wanted to learn more about the behaviour, nutrition and physiology of Canadian Lynx. What better way to learn than to get a fur license and raise a couple of them for a few years. Although, now, we no longer raise them, (they have a good home in a petting zoo), here is a video taken a few years ago of “Sebastian“ just chillin’ in the house. Ironically listening intently to Randy and Shane discussing trapping strategies for the winter. Lol Now, having had this experience raising Canadian Lynx, in the dark nights, as we lay in bed with the window open, we can recognize the call of a lynx in the bush near our cabin. And it is strangely thrilling!
