Kagami Biraki - Japanese Martial Arts at BudoKan 鏡開き

Kagami Biraki is a the first day of martial arts training at many dojo. At Budokan in Tokyo they have a mochi (rice cake) breaking ceremony with people in samurai armor followed by demonstrations of several Japanese martial arts. At the end they all gather on the floor in a kind of madcap free-for-all. The following martial arts are demonstrated here: Kyudo, Kendo, Aikido, Shorinji Kempo, Judo, Naginata, Karate, Jukendo, and Sumo.
