Direction and animation: Weronika Marianna
I wrote this song after learning about the extraordinary adventures of an ancestor of mine who had been a pickle and condiment maker. The song slowly fermented, and is now a celebratory stomp exploring themes of consumption, excess, madness, and the possibility of transformation.
Lyrics:
Stop the music
I’ll have the whole thing
Those mountains
We can share the barnacles
Split the difference
I’ll take the treetops
The red rocks
We can share the molecules
We’ll be overcome by mourning
At the dawning of the day
We’ll be overrun by madness
Like the darling buds of May
We’ll be overcome by mourning
At the dawning of the day
We’ll be overrun by madness
Like the darling buds of May
Stop the dancing
We’ll share the whole pie
The night sky
And we can share the particles
Ask the question
You’ll find the whole thing
Those mountains
Just listen it will be wonderful
We’ll be overcome by mourning
At the dawning of the day
We’ll be overrun by madness
Like the darling buds of May
We’ll be overcome by mourning
At the dawning of the day
We’ll be overrun by madness
Like the darling buds of May
