Sheepdog CrossFit Presents: “Murph“ a Tribute to Humanity
On February 24th, 2013 filming was done for a documentary in honor of Lt. Michael Murphy and 18 other Navy SEALs and Special Operations Forces soldiers who were killed during a counter-insurgent mission in Kunar province, Afghanistan. Lt. Murphy was an avid adherent to CrossFit, and after his death one of his favorite workouts was named after him.
Sheepdog CrossFit trainers Seb, Rob, Chris, Sharen, Scotty, Paul, Alissa and Leah all completed the WOD “Murph“. Regularly, the WOD “Murph“ consists of: (while wearing a 20 lb vest as a substitute for body armor) a one mile run, followed by 100 pull ups, 200 push ups, 300 squats, and finished with a one mile run. The Sheepdog team did this wearing vests ranging from 20lbs to 120lbs.
