Lava mass descent. Meradalir eruption, Iceland. Aug. 4, 2022.

This footage had been filmed in the night August 3 to August 4th, soon after midnight in Meradalir valley, Reykjanes peninsula, Iceland. Camera used: Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. “On 3 August 2022, after weeks of unrest on the Reykjanes Peninsula including over 10,000 recorded earthquakes from 30 July to 3 August with two quakes measuring over 5.0 Mw, another eruption began at Fagradalsfjall. A live stream from a camera at the site showed magma spewing from a narrow fissure vent. On 4 August the Icelandic Meteorological Office estimated it 360 meters in length. Over 1,830 people visited the volcano on the first day. It erupted over a lava flow from the 2021 eruption. The Icelandic Meteorological Office advised people not to go near Fagradalsfjall due to the new eruption.“ - Wikipedia #Iceland2022 #MeradalirVolcano
