While returning to her own bed, Carol Anne gets a call on her toy phone from Jess, who tells her to be good and goodnight (and goodbye). Diane and Steven hug, consoling each other. Robbie asks what’s wrong and she tells her children that “Grandma passed away last night“. Robbie is shocked, but Carol Anne remains calm and knowing. Diane has a flash back of her and her mother planting roses in the garden when Diane was 7. Carol Anne soon after comes outside with her dad asking her to help her be a ballerina with wings.
