Sunak condemned over trans jibe as Brianna Ghey’s mother sits in PMQs gallery

Rishi Sunak was condemned by Keir Starmer after making a jibe about what constitutes a woman whilst Brianna Ghey’s mother, Esther, was in attendance in the House of Commons gallery. The prime minister was criticising his Labour counterpart for flip-flopping on issues when he made a ’joke’ about Mr Starmer’s definition of a woman. The prime minister then said that Mr Starmer did “99% of a u-turn“, referencing previous comments made by the Labour leader. Brianna Ghey was a transgender teenager brutally murdered by Scarlett Jenkinson and Eddie Ratcliffe in 2023.
