MP that walked across Afghanistan reacts to fall of Kabul | Rory Stewart interview

Rory Stewart walked through Afghanistan, from Herat to Kabul, six weeks after the Taliban government fell in 2002. Since, he’s written a best selling book about the experience, administrated a region of Iraq, been elected to the House of Commons, served as secretary of state for international development, contested the Conservative leadership election with Boris Johnson, been kicked out of his party and stood as an independent to be Mayor of London. He spoke to Oli Dugmore about the US and UK’s abdication of responsibility in Afghanistan.
