Seattle anti-war activists rally against U.S. and UK strikes in Yemen

Anti-war activists took to the streets of Seattle, Washington on Friday (January 12) to protest the U.S and British airstrikes against Houthi military targets in Yemen. A group of about 100 Pro-Palestinian protesters chanted ’Hands off Yemen Now!’ and held signs saying “Stop U.S./U.K. bombing of yemen.“ On Thursday (January 11) the United States and Britain launched the strikes from the air and sea in response to attacks by Houthis on ships in the Red Sea, which the movement says is a show of support for Palestinians under siege by Israel in Hamas-governed Gaza. On Friday U.S. forces conducted a strike against a Houthi radar site in Yemen, the American military said late on Friday, adding the latest action aimed to degrade the Houthi movement’s ability to attack maritime vessels. The latest strike occurred early on Saturday local time in Yemen. The strikes in Yemen represent one of the most dramatic demonstrations to date of the widening of the war
