Shanti-Ray, juvenile blinded by pellet gun meets monkey foster mums at Vervet Monkey Foundation

Shanti-Ray a 1 year old vervet monkey was shot by a pellet gun near Macadamia Village, Tzaneen, Limpopo. He was rescued by the Vervet Monkey Foundation who gave him a second chance at life. He had been shot in the head and his arm. Unfortunately the pellet couldn’t be removed from his head as it was too deep which left him blind. His prognosis was poor but he survived and is now living with 2 monkey foster mums Frenchie & Shasta at the Vervet Monkey Foundation. Please report any pellet gun shootings of anim
