A magnitude 7.2 earthquake rocks Philippines! Panic on the streets of Mindanao!

On November 17, a magnitude 7.2 earthquake shook the Philippines. The epicenter was located in the sea at a depth of 60 km, 30 km from the southern tip of the country. The tremors were felt strongly on the island of Mindanao, home to about 26 million people. People fled into the street in panic. No tsunami warning was issued, but waves were recorded on the shore after the earthquake. At least one person was killed and dozens were injured, authorities said. Buildings were damaged, including a shopping center in the city of General Santos. The bridge connecting General Santos and Sarangani was also reported to be damaged. Some parts near the epicenter have lost power. Aftershocks are possible in the near future.
