Lyrically the song visits what it means to understand and make peace with what we cannot control. Each instrument was written in a way that would add a feeling of tension and dread. Gazing upon the face of a dead luminary, cold, lifeless, and rogue as it rejects orbit. My fears are mirrored in the troposphere’s ash. I fear I am empty, that I am nothing. Overcome by the tremor of the parallax, I have met with my inherent mortality. I fear I am empty, that I am nothing Disconnected, now astral body; remote view as the dread consumes me. A deafening voice from the sky has warned through imagery, verily of it I shall take heed. Implicit, the intention hidden, obscured, to provoke a restructured way of thinking. Great orb thou hath cursed the sky, to cease all hope and eradicate life No greater destruction known, a cataclysmic death your lofty magnitude has foretold.
