Bret Hart’s best athletic moves (70s–90s tribute)

While many of these moves are common today, Bret helped change the face of heavyweight pro wrestling from the late 1970s to the early 1990s, as plodding types were gradually forced to share the main event spotlight with super-workers. His in-ring style was still rooted in chain wrestling and storytelling (Bret wasn’t an “aerial wrestler“), but he incorporated an impressive agility that was rarely seen in the WWF prior to his arrival in 1984. Daredevil performers such as Chris Jericho, Seth Rollins, Sami Zayn, Daniel Bryan and Christian have named Bret as a prominent influence on their style. All footage belongs to WWE. I have used clips of less than 15 seconds in length to create a representation of the subject’s work. This non-profit video meets fair use standards.
