RPD Main Hall played on Wine Glasses | 7 pc. Instrumental

The iconic theme of the RPD Main Hall, played with an assortment of 7 instruments - 1. Wine Glasses - 2. Clock Chimes - 3. Glockenspiel - 4. Mbira - 5. Saxophone - 6. Piano (Kurzweil K2000) - 7. Hand Pan - I have wanted to do a solid cover of this song from as far back as 2006, when I first started learning how to make music. I always assumed this song was originally recorded using a Glass Armonica, which I still think might be halfway true, but the other half of this sound finally clicked when I recorded some old clock chimes I’ve been collecting, and ended up with that almost.. glass flute-like sound. I was also quite unsure if I would be able to get the saxophone to sound right for this piece, being that the original song was done with a French Horn (I think). But it is my only horn, so I did what I could to make it work. And for what it’s worth, these are technically Brandy/Cognac glasses, the really large glass used for the first note ’C’ is the only true wine glass that was used for this. #resident
