Сombat work of the Sani mortar crew

Artillerymen of the 29th combined arms army of the Eastern Military District continue to strike strongholds of the Ukrainian Forces in the South Donetsk direction of a special military operation using the 120 mm towed mortar system Sani. Crews use the so-called ‘roaming mortar’ tactics. Its essence is that mortar men move along the front line and work from pre-prepared positions. The crew deploys in a matter of minutes, fires 5-6 shots and immediately leaves the firing position. Target designation and adjustment of mortar fire is carried out using unmanned aerial vehicles. According to reconnaissance data, mortar crews of artillery units of the 29th combined arms army of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a Ukrainian stronghold with precision and helped the assault units move forward. The 120 mm towed mortar system Sani is designed to destroy manpower, located openly or in shelters, fire weapons, command and observation posts, weapons and military equipment with mounted fire. It is also used to destroy trenches, communication passages and light wood-earth structures, and to make passages in wire fences.
