The shooting took place from a starting position on the coast of the Kaliningrad region. During the exercise, the missilemen marched from a permanent deployment point to a designated area, deployed the complex and worked out an algorithm for detecting sea targets. The ship’s target shield was used as the enemy ship. After receiving a signal to use missile weapons, the crew of the Bal missile launcher fired at a sea target located at a considerable distance. Objective control means recorded an accurate hit. According to the conditions of the combat exercise, the target was destroyed.
