Rare Kung Fu footage of big sword unit #Sino-Japanwar #military #dao (it’s about gong fu)

I found a rare footage of Da Dao (大刀) or big sword unit, a militia who fought in second Sino-japan war. Dao or single edged sword (or Sabre) has been used in China since Shang dynasty in Chinese bronze age (around 3000 years ago). While I was mentioning the names of different designs of Dao, I mentioned a name Shou Dao (手刀). Some viewers who are studying gōng fū might get little confused about that, because Shou Dao could mean knife hand strike. However, let me assure u all there is really a type of Chinese sabre, which is called Shou Dao. I didn’t say it by mistake. #militarylife #militia #kungfu #wushu
