Russia: MNIRTI unveils high-tech Chirok drone at MAKS-2015 air show

The Moscow Radio Engineering Research Institute (MNIRTI) unveiled the high-tech Chirok drone at the MAKS-2015 international air show at the Zhukovsky Airfield in the Moscow Oblast, Tuesday. The aircraft is unique in that it is capable of taking off and landing on any surface without a proper runway due to its ’air-cushion’ design, a feature set to be made available in both civilian and military versions of the drone.
