Banquo’s Ghost--Kenneth Branagh’s Macbeth (2013)

This is from the Drill Hall 2013 stage production of Macbeth, directed by Kenneth Branagh and Rob Ashford. Featuring Kenneth Branagh as Macbeth and Alex Kingston (River Song from Doctor Who) as Lady Macbeth. While I dislike how rushed many of the scenes in this adaptation are, they absolutely NAIL the special effects. This is a wonderfully creepy rendition of the banquet scene. I didn’t even know this version existed until the DVD’s popped up on eBay, and Branagh is one of my favorite Shakespeareans, so I felt I had to share bits and pieces, but the fact that the DVD was never meant for large release means I’m going to be careful about what I post.
