Using asphaltum to glue a template to a bannerstone.

This is my first attempt at gluing a template onto an Indian Knoll style bannerstone, with asphaltum This will allow me to drill, using flint dust and cane, because the template will hold the grit in place long enough for me to get the drill started. Once the hole is about 1/8 to 1/4 inch deep, I’ll remove the template and continue drilling.
