Rudresh Bhajantri is one of the finest Shehnai player in India today. He has drawn his entire inspiration from the great Ustad Bismilla Khan. He started learning Shehnai from his father Shri Tammanna and Shri Fakkirappa Bajantri. Now he is guided by Pt Rajendra Prasanna and Wg cdr Pramod Kumar Jena. Rudresh is known for his unique tonal quality - Gayaki ang. Recognising his talent, All India Radio has graded him an “A“ grade in Shehnai has also performed at the Rashtrapathi Bhavan in front of the late President- Bharat Ratna awardee, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.
