Carol McGiffin reveals the truth behind her shocking Loose Women exit

Carol McGiffin has revealed that she was forced to leave Loose Women after a dispute with ITV over her contract. The outspoken presenter, who was a regular on the show for 13 years, said she felt “unjustly treated” by the network and decided to quit in 2013. In an exclusive interview with The Sun, Carol said: “I was very unhappy with the way things were going. I felt like I was being sidelined and not given the opportunities I deserved. I had a contract that was supposed to guarantee me a certain number of shows per year, but they kept breaking it and offering me less and less.” Carol said she tried to negotiate with ITV, but they refused to budge. She said: “They basically told me to take it or leave it. I felt like they didn’t value me or respect me as a presenter. I had been loyal to them for so long, but they didn’t care. So I decided to leave.” Carol’s departure shocked her fans and her fellow Loose Women stars, who supported her decision and expressed their sadness. Nadia Sawalha, w
