Striped Mare (Fallout: Equestria) - SkyBolt - (Original Song)

Hello Wastelanders! I have a special treat for you... I’ve been toying around with this Blues-y original song for a while now and I finally got it to a point where I felt I could release it. It was partially inspired by another song I like, but otherwise it is all my own. I don’t have the most experience with composing, but I’m fairly happy with this. And if people like it, and I get more inspiration, hopefully I will make more stuff down the road and get better at it. But for now, enjoy this little addition to my Fallout: Equestria universe/discography. DOWNLOAD: Alt Download: Mare - The story is about a special agent who is searching for a Zebra spy he’s been tailing for a while. He enters a nightclub and finds a beautiful striped mare by herself in one corner. He approaches her and buys her a drink... but once he gets closer, he finds the tell-tale scar of his target and laments the realization. He tries to convince her to leave peacefully, but she refuses, and their dance becomes a full on battle. I added some visuals I thought would help tell the story of the end of the song. It’s somewhat inspired by the Mr. and Mrs. Smith fight scene... but ends quite differently. Lyrics: “How’re all you ponies doing out there tonight? I know we have quite the blended audience… But you don’t want another sappy number. You want something with a little bit of soul… You want something with a few stripes.” Walking through the streets of the big, bad, city. Nightlife alive and the sights so pretty… The lights and the noise like a ruckus clatter The blended sound of the people’s chatter When I saw her standing out there in the light Dressed head to hoof in black and white. And no one, batted an eye But that striped mare was quite a sight, And struck me like a stick of dynamite Oh, heavens… What a delight… I asked her name, my heart coerced, But she said it’d cost a cider first… To satisfy her thirst… It really was the worst I pulled her close in deep caress And I saw the scar beneath her dress, and Oh, she stroked it with finesse. I asked her if she’d like to dance, And she took my hooves and took her stance… It was her final chance… The striped mare and I, we waltzed to the beat, Her moves wells rehearsed, her expression sweet, I said we should leave, but she didn’t agree… She came up real close and she kissed me deep I undid my coat, and she pulled her piece, The crowd started to scream The safeties were released!
