11/06/2017: I was videotaping a group of turkeys this morning. They prevented a mountain lion from attacking me from behind. Giving up turkey for Thanksgiving this year! In this video, I was videoing three flocks of turkeys, to the front center as shown, front left, and rear right. All of a sudden, the turkeys started getting very excited. They were clucking aggressively and making a warning sound known as a “putt“. I figured the gig was up and this was the end of my video. But oddly, the three flocks converged around me. Eventually they passed me to my rear left and began moving strangely back and forth. Then I panned a little further to my left and saw it, a mountain lion!!! It was sneaking up on my back side and the turkeys foiled its stalk. They even went so far to chase the lion back into the woods. Incredible!
