Urquhart Castle Loch Ness

Urquhart Castle Loch Ness is arguably Scotland’s most famous landmark. The castle sits magnificently on a rock promontory to the West of the village of Drumnadrochit. Like other Castles in Scotland it has born witness to much bloodshed over the centuries. The “Loch“is the longest body of freshwater in the UK some 23 mile long and its mysterious black colour can be attributed to the Lochs steep sides and depth which help conceal ’Nessie’ the Loch Ness monster,
