The Golden State Warriors hold the greatest regular season record in NBA history at 73-9. Having won the NBA Finals the season prior, the began at home, with a ring ceremony. They broke A LOT of records, but likely the most telling numbers (on the offensive end, at least) were that they had the highest offensive efficiency rating in the league (112.5, with OKC finishing at 109.9), and lead the league with 28.9 team assists per game.
