Nicolas Godin (RBMA Paris 2015 Lecture)

Nicolas Godin is the founding member of influential French duo Air and recently released his debut solo album Contrepoint. Every song on Contrepoint is built around or inspired by a piece of music by Bach, with Godin taking famed pianist Glenn Gould’s Bach interpretations as a jumping-off point. A former architecture student at École Nationale Supérieure d’Architecture de Versailles, Godin has recorded plenty of albums as part of seminal French duo Air, in addition to collaborating with Charlotte Gainsbourg
