Miraculous Grotto & Healing waters at Lourdes, France. A Pilgrimage on 11/2019

For the past 161 years Multitude of pilgrims flock to the town of Lourdes at the foot of the Pyrenees mountains in southern France. This started when news of an apparition by the Virgen Mary to Bernadette Soubirou, a 14 yr old peasant girl, in the outskirts of the town of Lourdes on Feb. 11, 1858. The apparition took place in a shallow cave (grotto) near the banks of the river Gave de Pau. There is a flowing natural spring inside the cave, w/c is reputed to have miraculous healing powers. The compelling stories of apparitions & miracles have drawn thousands of Catholic pilgrims from all over the world. At least 5 million visits a year. The Catholic church has officially recognized 70 miracle healings. Sister Bernadette Mariau, from northern France has been wheelchair bound for 40 yrs because paresis & chronic pains from a neurospinal disorder, was the latest medical miracle officially recognized by the Catholic church on Feb. 11, 2018.
