Vasilisa Sokolova: From the first notes to the first successes / От первых нот к первым достижениям

This video presents a brief chronicle of the initial stage of Vasilisa’s musical training from ages 3 to 5. In the recordings used, the piano parts are performed by Tatyana Rybakova and Daniil Pilchen. Despite the fact that many significant events in Vasilisa’s musical life, such as competitions and performances with an orchestra, did not make it into this video overview, special attention is paid to her participation in the 59th Yaroslav Kocian International Violin Competition in 2017. That event was one of the most significant for Vasilisa during that period, and winning the bronze medal, especially the large gingerbread violin awarded to her as the youngest participant in all 59 years of the competition’s history, left one of the most vivid memories.
