UAE: Cloned camel gives birth proving fertility and reproduction possible

The world’s first cloned camel gives birth to first offspring in Dubai, on Sunday. The female calf, born on November 2, weighed around 38kg (84lbs) and was delivered after completing a normal gestation period of 382 days, Dr Nisar Ahmad Wani, the Scientific Director of the Centre, explained in an interview. The camel was conceived in a natural way, proving that cloned camels can be fertile and reproduce normally. Video ID: 20151115-060 Video on Demand: Contact: cd@
