Mrs Coulter & Lyra | A Mother’s Love

Mrs Coulter may not have done right by Lyra, or known how to love her properly, but you can’t deny that she loved her daughter with her entire being. You can see it just in the way she looks at Lyra. By Season 2, everything she ever did was to try and keep her daughter safe. Lyra is all she lived for in the end, and Mrs Coulter made the ultimate sacrifice for her daughter, not only to keep her safe, but to give Lyra a better life where she could be free to live her life to the fullest. I’m grateful they diverted from The Amber Spyglass so that Lyra got to have a final moment with her mother in some way, if only with her dæmon, but, as we know now, Monkey was the BEST of Mrs Coulter.
