woman laced in wax

Woman laced in wax is an encaustic artwork (size A3 420mm x 297mm) created using a paper filigree doilie (doyley) as a print transfer vehicle for the wax colours. Further details were created directly with the painting iron. The piece took on the suggestion of female form as the work progressed and thus the title and eventual image came into being.
