Seaton Tramway, July 2020

Running for 3 miles along the former L&SWR “Seaton Branch Line“, the 2ft 9in gauge Seaton Tramway connects the villages of Colyton and Colyford, with the seaside town of Seaton. Fourteen narrow gauge tramcars operate along the scenic line following the course of the Axe Estuary, a haven for natural wildlife and wading birds, with Seaton Wetlands local nature reserves on the opposite side of the track. Join me as I arrive at the new Seaton terminus (opened June 2018), and board tramcar no. 8, for a return journey to Colyton taking in the spectacular scenery along the route. Social distancing measures following Covid were excellent, with clear signage in the queue lines and marked seats on board the trams. Seaton Tramway is an excellent day out for all the family, one highly reccomended!
