Luxoft Tech Talk with Oliver Quick - Challenges for Designing Sympathetic Robots

This talk focuses on the challenges of designing sympathetic robots and the potential dangers in their implementation. The problematic concept of sympathy in human-robot interaction studies is discussed, and Candace Clark’s sociological account of sympathy is proposed as a solid account upon which to base further research into designing sympathetic robots.
