Never-before-seen SGM PledgeMusic crowdfunding video from 2013

Between 2011 and 2023, multiple attempts were made to bring the Museum back. Each time, our plans were thwarted. This never-before-seen crowdfunding video was shot in and around the 5th Avenue Marina in Oakland in 2013. SGM intended for use it in a crowdfunding campaign on PledgeMusic (RIP!) that never came to pass. Scripted and directed by Nils Frykdahl and featuring all five curators alongside several family members and friends, it’s a precious time capsule to a (slightly) less apocalyptic time.
