BTS [Murmuration] ○ Fanfic Trailer (Mystery/Superpower!AU)

I bring you one of the best stories in this fandom: Murmuration by the wonderful author Dee (fringecity/indiachick). Link to the fanfic on AO3: If you’re a fan of proper mystery, investigation and mind fuck, absolutely outstanding plot, and world-building, superpowers, a little bit of scares, brilliant characters and a very thrilling ride exploring past, present and future... go no further. This is what you’ve been looking for ;). Honestly, I have nothing but praise for this story. I couldn’t put it down and couldn’t wait for the next chapter. It’s all so intricately woven, which is especially impressive with all the flashbacks and the details the author had to keep track of and then deliver the grand finale :d. Just trust me. You won’t regret checking this one out ;). Btw. Pls don’t be discouraged by the fact that Tae is dead in the story. It’s a part of the mystery that you will learn following Jimin and Yoongi’s POVs. All I’m gonna say is that nothing in this story is simple, let alone ’death’ :d. Also PLEASE don’t forget to write the author a nice, long comment once you’ve finished the story. They’ve worked incredibly hard on it and it’ll absolutely make their day. Thank you ^^! About the video/editing process: Well well well. Unsurprisingly, a lot of things about this video were a struggle - from structure to finding good footage. But really, the more complicated the story, the more I love coming up with a video portrayal of its essence, which was def the case here ;). As usual, I used Sony Vegas for the main editing part, but this time spent a significant amount of time in After Effects to create those ’supernatural’ compositions, which was so much fun :p. I learned quite a few new tricks in terms of general special effects in post prod, so yay for me :))! Also added about 15 layers of sound fx like I usually do, including police sirens (because as someone in the comments pointed out - I cannot release an edit unless it contains those sirens :p). The very tricky part about this video was avoiding obvious spoilers. I found Jimin and Yoongi’s dialog (they are partners solving a cold case in the story) to be quite effective in introducing this world and what happened in it, so that Tae’s part still remained riddled with mystery. I’m kinda hoping that whatever you see in this trailer, the reality will still be surprising :). And with that - I hope you enjoy this video. It took a damn long time and effort, but here we are at last ;).
