Elephant Seal Pup Encounter on South Georgia Island

IF YOU LIKE out my earlier video of an extended encounter with one of these adorable pups: TO SEE A FIGHT BETWEEN TWO HUGE :// After landing at the incredible St. Andrews Bay on a Cheesemans’ Ecology Safaris expedition in October 2016, we were approached by two “weaners“ - recently-weaned elephant seal pups. These pups are often very curious and seem to want company. The rules on South Georgia require visitors to maintain at least 15 feet of distance from the wildlife, and we are not allowed to touch the animals. THEY can approach and touch us, as you can see.
