Manhunter is the ’origin’ story behind Dave Barrett’s career as a private investigator during the 1930s. That career was a one season hour-long crime series that premiered about six months after this movie aired. Both movie and series were produced by Quinn Martin of The FBI fame. Ken Howard plays Barrett and Stephanie Powers plays Bonnie-like to Gary Lockwood’s/James Olson’s (her brother and husband, respectively) Clyde-like in this fictitious Barrow Gang takeoff. It’s not very thrilling but Stephanie Powers’s fans (me! me!) might find it interesting. She’s not the star though. I don’t own the copyright to this. No one seems to own the copyright but ...
