Sayonara, and see you next time! 👋 Exercise Bushido Guardian has come to an end at Komatsu Air Base, Japan, after two weeks of flying alongside our Koku Jieitai counterparts. 🇯🇵🇦🇺 At every level, aviators have formed strong partnerships and developed lifelong skills in operating bilaterally and far from home. No. 75 Squadron’s F-35A Lightning II have conducted flying missions alongside Koku Jieitai’s F-35As, F-15J Eagles and Mitsubishi F-2s, boosting confidence in operating from unfamiliar aerodromes. This iteration of the biennial Exercise Bushido Guardian was the first time the RAAF F-35As had participated and the first time the jets had been deployed to Japan, marking a significant milestone in Australia and Japan’s strategic partnership.
